"TIll the Right Time Comes . .

. . . Never Mind Romantic Illusions"

He thinks "Would be great to defrock it!
Perhaps, if I bought a wee locket
with her picture in it
promise never to bin it . . .?"
She thinks "Watch me pick this jerk's pocket."

Tess's prompt reminded me of the scene in the 1994 Linda Fiorentino film "The Last Seduction", where she picks up the fall guy for her con-trick.  Other bloggers will have taken a worthwhile view of the prompt . . . a picture by Joseph Larusso.

    1. Hi Penny! Do you remember the song I used as the post title? A Palais-de-Danse waltz from the 50's. Not sure my post title was the song's title.

    2. Most of the dancing I did in the 50's was around the living room with my Mum - or in the school gym. I don't remember your title song at all - I thought I'd ask you to sing it to me, me instead - What are you waiting for? Hehehe! Though you'll need a loud voice to reach me down here on the South Coast!

    1. Thanks, Yvonne. In the picture, who can tell?

In the film "The Last Seduction" 'twas the lady who came out on top. In fact, Linda Fiorentino ran rings round her crazed male victims. She would surely have won an Oscar - her performance is a tour de force - but the film was released for pay TV before general release, which disqualified the film from all the Oscar categories.

  3. A clever, light take on the prompt. Made me smile... We bought some old movies last week at the Salvation Army store for a dollar each for our antique VCR: Anna Karenina, with Vivian Leigh:-), Two for the Road (Albert Finney & Audrey Hepburn - made me cry)and the more up to date? Rain Man. Beautiful full screen pictures, even voice qualities; I didn't have to hold the remote controls in my hand to constantly adjust volume as with the modern DVDs (although a bit of static due to age ;-) Hmmm, there must be a poem in there somewhere. Thanks for the memories...

Thank you for stopping by. To make life easier for you I have turned off the new indecipherable and time-wasting verification words. Would you care to "feedback" to Blogger and complain about them, like I did?
