Magpie Tales#104

A real Oooerr image from Tess at Willow Manor this week!

There was a young lady from Cheam
who could not explain her strange dream,
saying "I'm at a loss.
I might be Diana Ross -
but these guys are not the Supremes."

  3. I just laughed out loud. For the first time today! If nothing else, I thank you for that. I fear I'm getting too serious and a drag. Very very good Doctor. You know the old adage: laughter is the best....

  4. Not many would have found a limerick in that pic, but it fits perfectly.

    1. Sadly, Mary, he can't comment this week. Here in the UK it is school mid-term and Simpleforth is away, taking part in the Charity Fun Run from Land's End to John O'Groats. He hopes to raise $30 minimum for his "Save the Simpleforth" fund.

  10. You're very fortunate to have so many legitimate, yet strange place-names to draw upon. Ha ha!

    1. I do believe there's a town in our county of Essex called Steeple Bumpstead. We certainly have a Flushing and a Looe, which seem to go well together. Also a Ramsbottom, near Manchester, and Sandy Balls in the county of Somerset, But don't get me started.

Thank you for stopping by. To make life easier for you I have turned off the new indecipherable and time-wasting verification words. Would you care to "feedback" to Blogger and complain about them, like I did?
